Can I Get An "Amen"!

11:44pm update (Bulgaria Time): Our luggage has finally arrived!!! Thank you, Jesus!!!
*********************************************************************************

Well you guys, this is it! In just a little more than 12 hours we will get in a car and drive the two hours to Pleven, where we will finally free Samantha Love from that orphanage FOREVER!

No more going to bed hungry.

No more love-less days.

No more laying in her own waste.

No more standing, resting her head on the side of a crib, begging someone to just see her.

No more wearing the same clothes day after day.

No more.

NO MORE!!

TOMORROW IS FREEDOM DAY!!!!!!!!

Praise the LORD with me, friends. PRAISE THE LORD!! Let all people, everywhere, say, "The LORD is good. His faithful love endures forever!"

There were days when I thought this day may never come. But those days are gone. Those days of fear and doubting. Because, you see, this adoption never depended on me. This miraculous story is a work of God. To HIM alone be the glory. Forever.

Next time you hear from me, I'll be blogging next to a precious, sleeping (?) baby. I could not ask for more.

You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth. Psalm 65:5

Lots of love to all of you.

*Note: We're still waiting on that darn luggage. But we're finally leaning on God and experiencing His peace. We are told we will receive our first couple of suitcases any minute now, with the rest arriving during the night. Keep on praying that this will be so.

  2. Grace,
I am in tears as I am typing this! God is so good!!!!

I've been checking your blog all day! I am so excited for you I can hardly stand it! A little over a month ago I was right where you are, anticipating "Gotcha Day" for our precious Ana! And we had no luggage too :). At this point Mike and I were deciding who was going to get to use the last colgate wisp toothbrush that we had in our carry on bag. :)

I can not wait to see pictures of Samantha in your arms again! What a mighty God we serve!!!!!!

  4. AMEN!! Hallelujah, your sweet girl will be an ORPHAN NO MORE! He sets the lonely in families. He is the Father of the fatherless. He is ALL goodness and light to guide you through this journey and bring your girl home. God bless you, and HAPPY GOTCHA DAY (in like an hour)! Yes, I definitely have Bulgarian time saved on the world clock on my phone... so I always know exactly what time to pray the hardest. Can't wait to see you go get your girl!

I feel like I'm we are waiting while you are in labor. Waiting for the phone call to say "she's here, happy and healthy". I too have been checking FB on and off all day long. First to see if luggage had arrived and then to see if there were any other needs to be prayed for. I'm sure that you will be on my mind and in my dreams as I pray for the three of you. It is like you have had a 12 month pregnancy instead of 9 months. God be with you tomorrow.
